Dr. Ben Denton

Bio

Dr. Ben Denton is currently the Technical Directory for Cybersecurity at DESE Research, Inc. where Dr. Denton leads technical efforts in technology protection and cybersecurity research for Department of Defense (DoD) weapon systems. Dr. Denton currently supports the US Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) focusing on software assurance, reverse engineering, and cyber threat intelligence. Ben's previous experience includes foreign material exploitation and high-fidelity modeling and simulation for the Defense Intelligence Agency's (DIA) Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC), US Army Red Team supporting test & evaluation at the Threat Systems Management Office (TSMO), Information Assurance and Network Security for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and AMRDEC's Software Engineering Directorate (SED), network security and administration for the Tennessee Valley Authority's (TVA) Browns Ferry Nuclear Power Plant, and drive-through cashier at Taco Bell (You gotta start somewhere...).

He holds a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Auburn University, along with multiple IT and cybersecurity certifications. Ben enjoys long walks on the beach, coffee, Nashville Predators Hockey, and cracking passwords.
