Technical Excellence in Cyber
The Technical Excellence in Cyber Award recognizes technical excellence in cybersecurity and will be presented at the National Cyber Summit. This summit is the premier IT security and information management conference, focused on critical issues facing information security today. Award Objective: This Cyber Security award recognizes individuals who exemplify technical excellence in cyber security through their contributions to cyber security programs and achievements in the field.
Award Criteria: Nominees do not have to be ISSA Members and will be evaluated based on demonstrated technical contribution, high ethical principles, and collaborative efforts across numerous cybersecurity domains. Each nomination must be accompanied by a written description of how the nominee has successfully met those criteria. Past or present members of the NACISSA Board of Directors are not eligible for this award. Nominations may be in narrative or bulleted format, but should be kept under 1,000 words.
Award Period and Nomination Deadline: Accomplishments will be for the prior calendar year (January – December), and can include supporting details from prior years. Nominations should be submitted by 31 July via the online form.
Awards Presentation: The North Alabama Chapter of ISSA will present the Cyber Award at the National Cyber Security Summit in Huntsville, Alabama.
Guidelines for Nominators: We suggest third-party nominators notify the nominee before submitting a nomination. Individuals are welcome to nominate themselves.
