As platforms become increasingly networked and reliant on embedded systems, adversaries are exploring new methods to deliver cyber effects—without ever touching the internet. This session explores the evolving threat of Cyber-Electromagnetic Convergence (CEWC), where RF signals are used to deliver or trigger malicious code, disrupt bus protocols, or manipulate system behavior. With real-world use cases targeting embedded systems, attendees will learn how SDRs, AI-driven waveform fuzzing, and data bus injection techniques (e.g., CAN, MIL-STD-1553) can emulate insider, near-sider, and outsider threat models. The talk will also examine key performance parameters and current technology gaps, offering a roadmap for integrating CEWC realism into testing campaigns.
