NAC-ISSA February Chapter lunch
NAC-ISSA has our second 2024 lunch next Tuesday, February 20, in the Auburn University Innovation and Research Center. Marc Sachs will present “Managing the Security Unknowns Do You Know What You Don’t Know?”
Donald Rumsfeld, former Secretary of Defense once said, “…there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don't know we don't know.” Security teams regularly deal in a lot of unknowns. Sometimes teams are aware of them, but often their hands are tied, or resources are limited. If a security team doesn’t know a problem exists (like a cloud-connected application or a zero-day exploit, or even an undocumented connection that bypasses a firewall), security teams must prepare as best they can. This talk presents a model for how to rate yourself and your organization, and how to discover the security “unknown unknowns” lurking in your enterprise.
Catering is by Walton’s and the door prize is a pair of Beats Studio Buds. CPEs for ISSA members are on the house!
