This presentation will describe the different techniques available for big data and machine learning in cyber security by discussing their strengths and caveats. The math is powerful and large scale machine learning is quickly becoming an important cornerstone for much of the systems that will be used. However, machine learning is a very powerful tool box, but not every tool can be applied to every problem and that's where the pitfalls lie.
